We love when kids get crafty making gifts or cards for their loved ones and this handprint flower craft, or more precisely a beautifully painted hand holding flower craft is really cute.
You can even take it up a notch and instead of having kids just trace their hand, have them color and stamp first and then trace. This way, the craft becomes even more personal.
If you are looking for a cute Mother’s Day craft idea, this is definitely one to consider. We think this idea is also perfect for the classroom, it is easy and quick to make, and the materials for this craft are definitely budget-friendly.
Get ready to surprise your loved ones with a cute card made by kids.
What you need
Draw a hand shape on one of the cardboard sheets.
You can use skin color or any color.
Cut the hand off.
Looks fun, doesn’t it?
Punch holes to create different colored flowers.
We used a circular hole punch but you can also punch by hand.
However, children love to use paper punches.
Cut a circle from yellow paper.
They need to be smaller than the flower (we repainted the glue cap).
Glue yellow circles onto the flowers.
The more flowers the merrier (as long as they fit on the paper).
Paste your hand on the paper.
Don’t glue your fingers!
Cut green paper strips.
Glue the paper strips and flowers onto the paper as shown below.
Push your fingers back, form a loop, and glue them together.
And that’s it, your handprint handmade bouquet is complete.
With thousands of printable crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing tutorials, you’ll always have the resources you need at your fingertips. Perfect for parents and teachers alike!
