This handprint flower art or craft project is really cute and extremely versatile – you can make it for any age and any occasion.
Want to make a keepsake for your baby or toddler for grandparents? Grab some non-toxic finger paint and let the stamping fun begin (little feet can make beautiful flowers too). Getting dirty is really fun too!
Want a personal project from your preschooler? Draw your child’s hand on white cardstock and let them color it (or draw fun shapes) with crayons.
Ready to try your hand at scissors? Let your child draw their own finger and cut them out.
What you need:
One way to make these lovely handprint flowers is to draw your hand on red (or any other color of flower) cardstock.
Alternatively, you can draw your hand on white paper and color it.
Dipping your hand in non-toxic paint and pressing it onto white paper is another way to make handprint roses.
Cut out the outline of the hand. If working with young children, this is a task for an adult. Children who are good with scissors can cut it out themselves.
Place the paper straw on the handprint (in the middle).
Secure with tape. You can also glue a straw and stick it on the hand print.
Cut out leaf shapes from green cardstock.
Apply glue to one end of the leaf.
Glue it to the paper straw (roll it up a bit so the glue really sticks).
Done! You have a beautiful handprint flower art piece.
