How to make a heart bunny card for Valentine’s Day or Easter

What you need:

  • our printable templates
  • bunny colored craft paper or coloring supplies
  • glue
  • drag
  • Googly eyes (optional)

Step by step instructions

Print out our template. If you have your child color the template, have them color it before cutting.

We will show you how to use our template as a printable.

Cut out all the pattern pieces.

Draw two joined hearts onto construction paper. This will form the bunny’s head – we used a beige patterned paper (the pattern really adds something special to these cards).

Draw a heart shape of an ear on a piece of paper of the same color.

Draw the inner ear on construction paper. We chose pink for our ear, blue would be great too as well as other colors. Just choose the color you like best.

Do the same with the nose.

Draw a heart shape of teeth on white paper.

Fold the top of the heart in half to make a card.

Cut the heart in half.

Cut the inner ear and heart in half.

Stick the inner ear piece into the ear.

Apply glue to the bottom of the ears and glue them to the back of the heart shaped bunny head.

Glue the nose and teeth onto the bunny.

Write your message.

Draw or glue on a pair of bulging eyes.

Done! Your heart bunny creation is complete.
