Give a heart from the heart! This easy project makes a great Valentine’s Day party decoration, can be used as a card, or just a quick craft project to do with your kids.
Heart on paper straw
What you need:
- construction paper (red, pink, purple or any other color)
- paper straws or skewers
- drag
- washi tape (or masking tape)

To create a beautiful heart shape, fold the paper and cut a heart shape in half (don’t know how? draw a number 2 ;).
This way you will get a nice symmetrical heart.
Cut the heart shape into strips of paper.
Make sure the top part of the heart (the convex blocks) are together on one strip of paper (this is really important).
Line them up and start gluing them onto the paper straws (washi tape is the best option as it is easy to use). You can also use regular glue, glue dots or masking tape…
Leave a little space between each strip of paper.
And that’s it! Your paper straw heart is complete.
