Fall is pumpkin season! You might think they are difficult to draw, especially because of their ribs, but with our tutorial you will be drawing pumpkins in no time.
We’ll show you a super easy way to create a pretty realistic pumpkin, and the steps will lay a good foundation for you to draw many different pumpkin shapes – tall, chubby, thin… All sorts, really.
Are you ready to draw a pumpkin? Let’s get started!
What you need:
Start by drawing two curves – write a C on the left and an upside down C on the right.
Connect the top and bottom endpoints by drawing 3 arcs between the endpoints (3 above and 3 below).
Look at the top and bottom middle arches. Draw two curved lines to form the first rib of the pumpkin. This line can be a little wider.
Draw two more curves. You can see your pumpkin taking shape.
From the middle arch draw two curves to make the tree trunk.
Draw a circle on top of the trunk to finish.
Add a curve on the left…
Draw another curve on the right.
Draw a vine. Done, you have learned how to draw a pumpkin.
Color your pumpkin drawing.
