How to Draw the Sun – Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

This is a great summer activity and a great way to practice drawing, because although it looks simple, it can have a big impact on your artistic skills; After all, drawing a circle is one of the basic shapes that need to be mastered when drawing.

How to draw the sun step by step

Instructions for drawing the sun step by step

Step 1

Start by drawing a circle. Drawing a circle is a great exercise for all years. It’s an easy way to track your progress.

Step 2

Draw four triangles, one above, one below, and two others on each side of the circle you drew.

Step 3

Fill in the space between the triangles with more triangles. You don’t have to stick to the same number or their same shape. Nature is not perfect.

These are our sun rays.

Step 4

We want our sun to be friendly. Draw a pair of eyes (or sunglasses) and a simple smile.

Step 5

All done! You have learned how to draw the Sun. Now all that’s left is to color it.
