It’s time to let the dog out! Your kids can make the cutest and most colorful toilet paper roll dog crafts ever. It’s easy to turn a regular roll of toilet paper into a cool-looking bag, even if you don’t stick to the usual colors (and honestly, we’re a sucker for a pop of color! dary).
You can make these with paint or colored paper, and if you don’t like toilet paper rolls, you can easily substitute with paper towel rolls or just rolled construction paper into a tube.

Hoarding toilet paper rolls? We have more toilet paper roll craft ideas to share.
You can also combine this idea nicely with our toilet paper roll cat craft idea.
What you need:
You will need one roll of toilet paper to make a dog (although you can also make two short rolls of toilet paper by cutting the toilet paper roll in half).
Have your child paint the toilet paper roll or have him wrap the roll in colored paper (put glue on the paper or roll and wrap it around).
Make ears. If you want them to be the same shape, fold a piece of cardstock in half, draw an ear shape on the folded part and cut it out.
This way you will get two identical shapes.
Apply glue behind the ears and stick them to the toilet paper roll, one on each side.
Cut a small circle for the muzzle and glue it in place.
Use a marker to draw two black eyes on the scroll. You can also use googly eyes, googly eye stickers, or cut out eyes from black paper.
Have children draw other details on the dog’s head.
With a white gel pen or even better a white chalk marker, draw white spots inside the eyes to give them a magical sparkle.
Finish off your furry friend by drawing a few dashed lines at the bottom of the roll.
This gives it a beautiful furry look.
Enjoy crafting adventures with your kids.
They could make some more in different colors!
You can also let your child play with different types of ears.
With thousands of crafts, activities, worksheets, coloring pages, and drawing guides to print, you’ll always have the resources you need at hand. Perfect for both parents and teachers!
