How to make a handprint card for Mother’s Day

What you need:

  • construction paper (black, pink and white)
  • drag
  • painted in different colors
  • glue
  • ribbon (color of your choice)

Step by step instructions

Take a piece of cardboard and fold it in half.

Cut a piece of pink paper and glue it to the front of the black paper.

Take your hand and spread it out. Paint it the color of your choice. The image here shows brown and tan.

Place your hand on a blank sheet of paper.

Press hard enough to release the paint onto the paper. This Mother’s Day handprint card will be worth the price when you’re done!

Let the handprint dry and then cut it out.

Continue to glue the handprints onto the pink paper. If you are helping young children with this craft, you may need to help them cut it out.

Now you can decorate your handprint however you want. Now it’s time to get creative!

You can even add a cute bow for fun. There is no right or wrong way to do a bow. The bows don’t have to be perfect either; just try it and have fun with it!

You can write a special message inside the card to give to your mother. This card is also suitable for grandmothers and aunts.

You can sit down with your child and make as many as you like! You could also do something similar for Father’s Day!
