How to Make a Hen and Chick Paper Circle Craft – Easter Card Idea
What you need:
- card base (we think green works well)
- yellow paper for chicks
- white paper for hens
- red paper
- orange paper
- black marker
- glue
- drag
- Optional: large and medium size paper circle punching machine
Step by step instructions
Start by punching or cutting out two circles. One smaller yellow circle and one larger white circle.
We will start with the yellow circle (chick). Cut into the circle, cutting a slit down the middle of the circle.
Fold one quarter of the circle (next to the slit) towards the bottom (see image below).
Do the same with the white circle. If you want the hen and chick to look at each other, fold the opposite quarters down.
Glue the baby chick and the round chick to the card base.
Cut two small triangles from orange paper and glue them onto the chick and hen as shown below.
Also, cut a crown from red cardstock and glue it onto the hen’s head.
Use a black marker to draw eyes on the chicks and hens (you can also use small bulging eyes).
Also, draw a pair of legs for the chick and the hen.
Done! You have completed your origami hen and chick.
