This fun little project is great for younger kids, as punching circles is always fun, and for older kids – for adults, I recommend making it prettier by using a variety of scrapbook paper. I think the patterns really add a special touch to a Christmas card.

This simple little card is perfect for making in the classroom, as a card for parents or friends and family.

Or follow the step-by-step instructions below

If you are making your own card base like we did, I recommend cutting a piece of A4 or letter sized paper in half.

Fold and score the “half sheet” to get a small card.

Place the card base on top of the blue paper and draw around it.

Cut out the blue rectangle.

Trim it a little to make it a little smaller than the base of the card.

Glue the blue rectangle to the card base.

Draw and cut out a snowy hill shape from white paper.

Glue it to the bottom of the card.

Cut a small brown rectangle for the tree trunk and glue it to the top of the mound.

Punch circles in green paper. We made 6.

Fold the circles in half.

Glue the two halves together – slide the two halves together, forming an L shape.

Apply glue to one side…

And paste it onto the card. Starting from the top of the card.

As you glue the second pair of folded circles, slide them into the first circle slightly.

Decorate with glitter glue to make snowflakes.

And add gems for a more festive version.
