There are so many Santa crafts to make this year, but this one is super cute and important. Plus, he’s super easy to make.
Instructions for making a paper cone Santa Claus
What you need:
- Red and white pom pom
- White construction paper
- Cardboard or red paper
- Glue
- Drag
- Googly eyes

Step by step instructions
Cut out a half circle that will serve as a mold (this is especially helpful if you are making more than one shape).
Trace around the pattern on red cardboard twice and cut out.
Make two cones. One cone will be used for Santa’s body and one cone will be used for Santa’s hat.
You will take both pieces of red paper and cut them into cone shapes.
Once you have finished rolling the cones, you will need to glue them down.
You can cut off any excess part of the cone that you no longer need.
Press lightly and firmly to ensure the cone does not deform!
Don’t forget you need a hat for both the head and body.
Cut off the unnecessary red paper on the cone.
The hat needs to be shortened a little.
The hat should be smaller than the body but should fit the body like a hat.
Tape the red cone (or cap) down firmly to secure. Allow to dry completely.
Hat decoration
Cut a thin stripe on a piece of white paper and glue it to the bottom of the hat.
Glue to the bottom of the hat.
Glue a white strip of paper to the bottom of the hat.
Cut off the excess end of the white paper strip.
Glue the end pieces together.
Fold the cap down and tape it in place as shown below.
Add a white pom pom to the bottom of the hat.
Next, you will make Santa’s face.
The face is an important part of Santa! But he also needs three layers of white for his beard.
Face to body.
Add Santa’s hat to his body.
Glue on Santa’s eyes and nose.
Next, you will fluff up Santa’s two layers of beard.
Keep stroking your beard, you’re doing great.
Now you will glue Santa’s beard onto his face.
Don’t forget to stick them tightly.
Next, you will cut a strip of thick white fabric to make the bottom of Santa’s suit.
