Paper Plate Christmas Tree Craft
This could easily be a project for the whole family to do, it’s quick, easy and cheap. One paper plate makes 2 trees and you can easily substitute the pom poms and yarn with other scrap materials you already have around the house. So who will make the best tree?
This is also a great craft activity for kindergarten and preschool, providing students with as many materials as possible so they can create their own unique tree.
What you need:
- paper plate
- green paint
- brush (we like foam brushes when painting larger surfaces)
- regular pom pom or glitter pom pom
- wool
- white school glue
- drag
Paint the paper plate green. Let the paint dry before continuing.
Once the paint is dry, cut the paper plate in half.
Make a cone. You can use glue or if older children are making a paper plate Christmas tree craft they can also use a stapler.
Decorate your Christmas tree with yarn and pom poms. White school glue works like a charm here. We love how the glitter pom poms shine at the top of the tree.
