Paper plate crafts are fun for all ages – preschoolers and kindergarteners love getting creative with them, and they’re great for older kids, too!

Peacock Craft paper plates

A fun after-school craft project the whole family can do together! However, if you have a crafty person in your house, you can keep them busy by giving them these complicated peacock coloring pages.

What you need to make a peacock using a paper plate!

  • 1 paper plate
  • 1 cupcake liner (yellow is best but you can easily color it) – optional
  • drag
  • color
  • glue
  • pencil to draw the pattern

Start by drawing your peacock pattern on a paper plate (as shown in the picture).

Peacock pattern

Color the tail green and the body blue on both sides of the paper plate. Let it dry.

While you wait for the cake to dry, cut the cupcake liners into 8 sections (color them yellow first if needed and let dry). Draw a blue dot on each eighth of the cupcake liner (we used our fingers).

Once everything is dry, start gluing the cupcake liners to the edge of the peacock tail.

Fold the body toward the tail.

Draw or glue on the beak and eyes.

You can also add a little glitter to give this little bird a little sparkle!
