Cut out a circle from the inside of a paper plate and color it in with a flesh-colored marker. This is your Santa’s face! Add a little red blush to the cheeks with a red marker.
Additional cutting needed: 1 red hat 2 small black circles – for eyes 1 small pink oval – for nose 1 pink mouth 8 strips of 1 inch wide white paper – for beard 10 strips of 1/2 inch wide white paper – for beard and mustache
Glue the hat, eyes, nose and mouth in place. Let dry. While it dries, bend a few strips of paper to make a hat. Glue one strip to the brim and one strip to the top of the hat.
For the mustache – use 2 1/2″ long strips of paper, stick under the nose and bend each end. TIP* for bending the strips – wrap around your finger, pencil or paintbrush. Then gently loosen.
For the beard – Glue the wide strips first starting at the side of the ear and working around the chin to the other side. Curve them using the same method as the mustache. Glue the smaller 1/2″ strips to the beard and curve them. They will add some depth and fullness to Santa’s beard!
