Paper Plate Turkey Craft

If you’re looking for a fun fall or Thanksgiving craft, why not try this leafy paper plate turkey craft?

We love paper plate crafts because they are so easy and inexpensive to make.

Crafts made from paper plates shaped like turkeys

This craft is a perfect excuse to go for a walk in nature as you will need to collect some leaves – the more different types the better and the more colours the better – we have collected brown, yellow and even red leaves! If you collect the leaves after a rainy day, make sure to dry them thoroughly before using as they will curl up later if you don’t.

Start by gluing the leaves to the paper plate starting with the outer circle (aka the largest leaf) and working your way towards the middle. You may need to press them down with something while the glue dries.

While the glue dries, cut out the turkey body shape from brown cardstock. Add a beak and two bulging eyes.

Glue on the leaves!
