How to make paper reindeer gift bags
What you need:
- pencil
- drag
- glue
- ruler
- paper bag
- white paper
- colored paper (brown and red)
- marker (black and white)
Step-by-step instructions
Take a paper lunch bag of any size.
Flip it over so the bottom of the gift bag is facing the table and in the bottom position.
You can use a ruler to draw a horizontal line.
Then, create a triangle by drawing diagonal lines.
This will help young children make paper gift bags.
You can also skip drawing lines and just draw freely.
Cut out the left and right triangle sections to give the paper bag a pointed end.
Fold the first layer of the upper triangle down.
We’ll cut the remaining one.
Cut a folded triangle.
Your paper bag should resemble the shape of a house.
Fold the triangle over, close the bag to create a beautiful fold. Open it up again.
Gently open the paper bag.
Then, flatten the bottom to stand upright.
Now it’s time to turn the bag into a reindeer!
Have your child cut two circles out of white paper and one larger red circle for the eyes and nose. You can also use googly eyes and red pom poms.
Glue the eyes and nose to the triangle, avoiding sticking the nose to the bottom of the bag so you can stuff food in it later.
Draw the eyes with a black marker, add some light with a white marker.
For antlers, have your child fold a piece of brown paper in half and draw a reindeer antler on it.
Cut out the shape to get two antlers.
Glue the gauze to the front of the paper bag.
Your paper reindeer gift bag is complete!
It’s time to fill it with food and secure the bag by taping it.
Your child will be proud to share their unique creations with friends and family this holiday!
