We made a lion a while ago and followed up with this adorable paper sheep/puppet.
These paper puppets are great fun to play with (In like a lion, out like a lamb, anyone?)

These paper crafts can easily be used as puppets for drama so are fun to make and fun to play with.
This is especially great for Easter or March, and even better if you pair it with a lion puppet, as they say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. If you’re not familiar with this saying, it has a lot to do with the weather and spring – it comes roaring and the closer it gets to summer, the quieter it gets.
This lamb or sheep craft would make the most wonderful decoration or addition to your Easter basket! So many possibilities!
What you need
Cut a bunch of paper strips. We cut them to the width of the paper (A4/legal).
The strips of paper are about the width of your thumb. Younger children will find it easier to work with slightly wider strips of paper while older children can easily handle thinner strips.
Make a circle with black cardboard.
We used a circle punch but cutting circles with scissors works too (a drinking cup or lid is a great option for creating an outline).
Also, cut two lamb ears out of black paper and glue them to the head (circle).
Put on two eye patches (stickers are fun).
Take strips of white paper and start forming loops by gluing the ends of the strips together.
Do many rounds. A lot.
Glue the loops to the back of the black head.
Start gluing the first 4 pieces together to form a cross, then glue the other pieces in the middle.
Continue until you have a nice soft lamb.
Cut two strips of paper from black cardstock (or 4 strips).
Glue the back to make the legs.
Glue the paper straw to the back.
We recommend gluing first and then securing with clear tape.
Your paper sheep craft is complete.
