Halloween is approaching and we have a super easy paper strip pumpkin art idea to share with you! This can be made as a fall craft or a Halloween item if you turn it into a Jack-o-Lantern.
This is a simple art project that can be used to decorate your home or classroom during the holiday season.

This art project provides great scissor skills practice.
We just love how the color makes it stand out. Your child can use construction paper or recycled paper (magazines, advertising…)
What you need:
Cut paper strips of different colors. If you’re preparing this for larger groups, using a paper cutter will save a lot of time.
Prepare a sheet of paper. The paper does not have to be white, it will be covered with strips of paper. However, we recommend using construction paper to make the craft a little sturdier (regular paper is fine, but construction paper is better).
Apply glue to the paper, starting from one side. Glue the first strip onto the paper.
Continue taping another strip of paper next to it (you’ll get best results if the paper is a different color).
Keep adding more and applying more glue as you go.
Continue adding strips of paper until the entire cardboard is covered.
Print out a sketch of the desired pumpkin (or draw your own), have the kids cut it out and trace the color gradients with a pencil.
Cut out pumpkin shapes.
Prepare a light blue rectangle for the stem.
Glue a dark blue strip on one side.
Repeat on the other side for the pumpkin stem.
Round the corners of the stem.
And glue it to the back of your pumpkin.
Cut two black triangles for the eyes and glue the first shape on.
Spooky!
Add another triangle for a complete Jack-o’-Lantern face.
Cut a semicircle from black paper, then shape the pumpkin’s mouth into teeth.
Almost done.
Glue it on!
All done!
Your brilliant paper strip pumpkin craft is ready to show off.
What a fun way to celebrate the season!
