Sunflower seeds will really make this fall art project stand out. If you are lucky enough to have sunflowers in your yard, pick up some seeds for this project.

However, if you don’t have any, you can buy seeds in many stores, just go to the “pet” section (or pet store) and you will see bags of seed to feed your birds. Take what you need and feed the rest to your birds, we are sure they won’t mind.

Isn’t that amazing? And so easy to make!

How to make paper sunflower crafts with seeds

What you need

  • craft paper for base (any fun color)
  • yellow paper
  • green paper
  • glue (white glue for seeds)
  • drag
  • sunflower seeds

Step by step instructions

Prepare the base paper. We use half a letter / A4 size paper.

Cut a long strip of green paper to make the stem of the sunflower.

Paste it into the background.

Cut a circle from yellow paper (or use a large paper punch) and glue it onto the background paper.

Cut out the leaf shape…

Pinch it to the side…

And glue the other side to the background paper, touching the tree trunk.

Next, the petals. Make lots of petals.

Fold them in the middle, this will give your sunflower piece more depth.

Apply glue to one end.

And paste it on the yellow circle.

Continue until you complete a circle.

Apply white school glue in the middle (apply more).

And sprinkle lots of sunflower seeds on top.

Gently press the seeds down so they adhere better to the glue.

Let the glue dry completely.

You can create as many as you like and experiment with different background colors.

We hope you enjoy making this seeded paper sunflower craft.
