Today, we will make a sunflower completely out of paper.

How to make paper sunflower crafts

What you need:

  • yellow, green, brown paper
  • drag
  • pencil
  • glue
  • hemp rope
  • tape

Step by step instructions

The petals

Cut yellow paper into equal sized squares.

If you cut a strip of paper lengthwise, the squares will be easier to cut!

You will want to cut out quite a few squares and one circle (for the base of the flower).

Your arms may get tired, but you can still do it.

If your child is not good at cutting, you may want to guide him or her.

Then you will glue them together like a funnel.

Do more.

You can start gluing the petals onto the circular base.

This one is next to that one.

All the way around.

Cut two long strips of brown paper.

Fold them in half horizontally.

Then you will cut slits along the edge of the brown paper.

It can take a while, so make sure you take breaks when needed.

Apply a little glue and start gluing the first strip.

Roll this strip of paper all the way to the end.

Add a little glue.

And continue with the second brown strip.

Roll it up.

Insert it in the middle of the flower.

As you can see, the brown paper pieces make it look like the inside of a sunflower.

Take the petals and cut off the tip of the cone.

Do the same with the remaining petals.

Glue the second row of petals around the flower.

The leaves

Draw two leaves on green paper.

Cut out the leaves and apply some glue.

Continue gluing them to the back of the flower.

Clothes hanger

Cut a piece of wire and glue it to the back of the flower to make a hanger.

This craft can also replace a wreath on your front door.

You can use a piece of plastic tape to hold the wire.

Now you have a beautiful sunflower craft that you can hang anywhere you want.

You can make many kinds of flowers!

They will look beautiful when placed in your home or office.

A colorful craft like this will bring lots of joy to your home.
