How to make a polar bear paper roll craft

What are your needs:

  • drag
  • glue
  • pencil
  • black marker
  • paper roll
  • colored paper (white, beige and black)
  • five white pom-poms
  • a black pom-pom

Step-by-step instructions

First, make sure you have all the materials you need.

Next, take the white paper and wrap it around the roll until it covers the entire roll.

Glue white paper to the roll!

Cut out the polar bear template to start your craft.

After cutting out the polar bear’s head and ears, you can draw them on construction paper.

You can also use parts of printed templates so you don’t have to redraw them.

You’ll want to use beige paper for the nose and belly.

Draw black spots on the ears.

Draw the polar bear’s mouth.

Start assembling the polar bear’s face.

Glue the pom-pom eyes, ears and nose.

Take a cotton swab and dip it into eye shadow, then apply blush.

Now you will start building the polar bear’s body.

Start by adding its belly.

You will glue the fully assembled head of the polar bear onto the body.

Start adding white pom-poms to its body!

We love how our polar bear paper roll craft turned out!

Children can use different colored papers to create different polar bears.

They can create a whole family of bears.

You can also use polar bear crafts to place coloring materials in paper rolls.

Have fun crafting!

And enjoy winter!

Don’t have pom poms? Do not worry! Paint the roll of paper white or wrap and tape white paper around it. If you want to dress the bear, use blue (or other) paint or paper on the lower part of the body.

Cut two smaller circles for the ears and a larger oval for the snout, draw the details and glue to the body. Draw a pair of eyes.

Crafting with older kids? Give them a challenge. Ask the children to make polar bear fur using torn paper or tissue paper. This requires good fine motor skills and some patience, so it gives older children a suitable challenge. And it looks great!
