Spring is a time of rain and sunshine. We wanted to make a craft that represented that and this paper plate rain cloud and sun craft pretty much sums it up. This fun craft would make a lovely display in your home or classroom.

What you need:
- blue paper
- white construction paper
- cotton ball
- paper plate
- yellow paint
- glue
- clear tape (we didn’t use clear tape to make it easier to see in the instructions, but the raindrops will change direction so it’s best to use clear tape)
- drag
- wool yarn (preferably white or blue)
- paint brush
Cut a cloud shape out of white construction paper. Cut out a series of raindrops. Cut out some yarn. Tape the yarn to the back of the cloud with clear tape. Space them apart, just enough to hold the raindrops without touching each other.
Stick the yarn to the water drops with clear tape.
Paint the paper plate yellow. Allow the paint to dry completely before continuing. Cut out the sunbeams. Cut out the sunbeams from part of the sun, this will make it easier to glue the sun onto the cloud. Glue the sun onto the cloud.
Apply a generous amount of glue to the cloud. Stick it onto cotton balls to make your cloud fluffy!
