This ribbon lion puppet has to be one of the cutest things we’ve made in a while. Isn’t he the cutest?
We love making all sorts of puppets, kids get creative making them and even more creative playing with them (a win-win).

Are you ready to create a fierce looking lion? Let’s get started!
Ribbon Lion Puppet Craft
What you need
- ribbon (absolutely love this set)
- wobbly eye patches (these are the new googly eyes!)
- glue dots (very important, regular glue doesn’t work with ribbon, these work wonders)
- craft stick
- glue
- yellow cardboard
- black marker
Cut two circles from yellow cardstock. Glue two squiggly eyes and draw a mouth and snout. Cut ribbon to approximately the same length (make a loop of ribbon to determine the length you want to work with)
Make a ring from all the ribbons. Glue the ribbons together with glue (or similar adhesive – or whatever you want to call it).
Glue the face to the craft stick (you can use regular glue or just use glue dots).
Time to make this lion’s mane. Glue the ribbon loops to the back of the head.
Glue the second yellow circle to the back. Done, your fierce looking Ribbon Lion puppet is ready to play.
