St. Patrick’s Day or St. Patrick’s Day as some people call it, brings us a bunch of great activities for kids to do and have fun. That’s why we created this lovely agamograph for them – to spread some colorful St. Patrick’s Day joy and happiness.

If you’ve made any of our other agamographs, we know you’re already a master at coloring and folding these fun printables. But if this is your first agamograph, don’t worry, this simple St. Patrick’s themed craft is perfect to start with.

The appeal of the agamograph is that the image on the machine changes depending on the user’s viewing angle.

With this agamograph, your child will color a large three-leaf clover and a colorful rainbow in the sky.

You can choose between two versions – ready-made agamographs, which only require coloring and folding, or templates, in which children need to color, cut and glue the St. Patrick’s Day agamograph together themselves.

Ready to get started? Print out our template (at the end of this tutorial) and create your own colorful St. Patrick’s Day agamograph.

Or follow the step-by-step instructions

First, print out the template you choose at the end of this tutorial.

Color the template with your best markers. We love using vibrant colors, so the interlaced images really pop.

Now use scissors to cut out the pattern.

What you need to do next is score along the alternating images of the agamograph. Use a skewer or whatever similar thing you have available.

Time to fold. Turn on the agamograph and start folding the St. Patrick’s agamograph puzzle.

Press firmly to create sharp folds when using the accordion technique.

Continue folding the agamograph until you reach the last piece of the “agamograph puzzle”.

Gently open the accordion to reveal one side of the agamograph…

…and tilt it a bit to reveal the second image you colored.

Your St. Patrick’s Day data logger is complete and ready to display.
