Free Printable Summer Olympics Word Search Game for Kids

Whether you have a young child just starting to learn to read or an older sibling who likes a challenge, there are two difficulty levels to download.

Below you will find easy download buttons for each worksheet.

Additionally, at the end of this post, we have a larger download package that includes all three word searches and their corresponding answer sheets (in case anyone needs a little help!).

Easy word search about Summer Olympics

The first level is perfect for younger children, with larger fonts and simpler word lists. This word search includes vocabulary that is easily associated with the Summer Olympics, such as rings, sports, medals, torches, etc. As children search for these words, they not only build their reading skills but also solidify their understanding of the theme of the event.

This smaller word search game is a great choice for beginning readers. The puzzle features large text with 12 words that are easy for young children to read. Also, there are no crosswords.

Summer Olympics: 20 words

For older children, the next level offers more complex puzzles. The font is a little smaller and the word list has more words to find.

There are 20 Summer Olympics words hidden in this puzzle! Can you find them all? Get this printable for better readers who want a bit more of a challenge. The words in this puzzle go in every direction except backwards.

Summer Olympics Word Search Game: 24 Words

This is the hardest of the three challenges, but not too hard. Older kids will be up for this one. The puzzle still doesn’t have backwards words, and features 24 Olympic sports going forwards, up, down, and diagonally.

Both word searches come with PDF Answer Sheets

Anyone stuck? Or, would you like to get both word search puzzles with answers available? If so, download the PDF for a 6-page package that includes all 3 Olympic word search puzzles along with their answers.
