Download three free printable Summer Olympics word search puzzles (with answer sheets!) for a fun and simple activity to add to your Olympic party planning or do while watching the games.
Hello Olympic fans!
It’s almost time for the Summer Olympics and we’ll see how many medals Team USA can win.
We really enjoy watching these athletes compete against others from around the world and having the kids join in on the excitement makes it all that much more fun!
If you haven’t downloaded our Summer Olympics-inspired coloring pages yet, go ahead and download them now! Then go ahead and explore the word search games we have for you today.
We have two levels to choose from so you can find something for everyone! The easy level has just 10 words written in large font, while the two harder puzzles have 20-24 words that are a little harder to find.
Plus, all of our word search games are extra fun because kids can color them in as they complete the puzzle!
If you want to have the answer sheet ready, scroll down to the bottom of the post to download the entire word search question and answer pack.
Terms of Use: Print as many copies as needed for your child, student, after school group, camper, church group, etc. To share, please use the link to this page. Please do not sell, email, share digital copies online, or distribute them in any way for any other purpose. Thanks!
Whether you have a young child just starting to learn to read or an older sibling who likes a challenge, there are two difficulty levels to download.
Below you will find easy download buttons for each worksheet.
Additionally, at the end of this post, we have a larger download package that includes all three word searches and their corresponding answer sheets (in case anyone needs a little help!).
The first level is perfect for younger children, with larger fonts and simpler word lists. This word search includes vocabulary that is easily associated with the Summer Olympics, such as rings, sports, medals, torches, etc. As children search for these words, they not only build their reading skills but also solidify their understanding of the theme of the event.
This smaller word search game is a great choice for beginning readers. The puzzle features large text with 12 words that are easy for young children to read. Also, there are no crosswords.
For older children, the next level offers more complex puzzles. The font is a little smaller and the word list has more words to find.
There are 20 Summer Olympics words hidden in this puzzle! Can you find them all? Get this printable for better readers who want a bit more of a challenge. The words in this puzzle go in every direction except backwards.
This is the hardest of the three challenges, but not too hard. Older kids will be up for this one. The puzzle still doesn’t have backwards words, and features 24 Olympic sports going forwards, up, down, and diagonally.
Anyone stuck? Or, would you like to get both word search puzzles with answers available? If so, download the PDF for a 6-page package that includes all 3 Olympic word search puzzles along with their answers.
Thanks for stopping by and good luck with this word search challenge!
