Teddy Bear Cootie Catcher – Origami for Kids

Bedtime stories will be much more fun with the help of this lice-catching teddy bear (or fortune teller, whatever you call it) – a fun origami game for kids and a paper toy to play with!

You can even expand it with other friends in the woods or even a shark scavenger.

This small printable will make story time fun and encourage children to read independently.

If you haven’t folded the fortune teller yet, you can find folding instructions here.

The teddy bear is free but you can buy lots of flea traps for your child to play with.

So what to do with these little guys? Let your child have fun folding them at first, as they are one of the easiest origami projects for kids and a perfect introduction to the world of folding. Then they can play some imaginative games or use them as puppets while they are reading (or you are reading to them).

I think this book fits well with the Bear and Friends series.
