How to make paper plates to decorate Christmas trees with tissue paper

What you need:

  • Paper plate
  • Tissue
  • Glue
  • Drag
  • pom pom fruit
  • Ice cream
  • Glitter paper

Step-by-step instructions

You’ll start this fun little craft by taking a paper plate and cutting it. That seems simple, right?

Go ahead and cut the paper plate in half to get started.

After cutting the paper plate in half, you will cut it into shapes like a slice of pizza or a tree. Simple enough, right?

Apply glue to the back of the cut piece of paper.

Gently start adding paper towels. A pattern can be made here or you can just choose to place the squares anywhere.

Continue to arrange those tissue boxes on top of the glue layer.

You may need to apply a little more glue on top of the tissue paper so you can continue layering.

As you can see, this craft is looking more and more like a tree.

Now you will take the popsicle stick and stick it to the back of the piece of paper plate.

It’s finally time to add that glittery paper star! The kids will really enjoy this part.
