Celebrate spring with these easy, fun, and colorful toilet paper roll flowers. Turn an ordinary roll of paper into the most eye-catching tulips with just a little paint and a few cuts.
What makes these scroll flowers even more interesting is that once completed, they can stand on their own. Once your kids make one, they’ll want to make a whole flower garden.

Toilet paper roll crafts are truly the best; They are inexpensive and there are lots of fun things you can do with them. If you’re not really excited about the idea of using toilet paper rolls, you can use kitchen paper towel rolls instead. They are even more fun because their length allows for even more creative ideas.

How to make handmade toilet paper roll flowers
What you need:
- pencil
- drag
- paper roll
- paint (different colors)
- paint brush
Step-by-step instructions
To start this project, you will need a roll of paper (toilet paper roll, kitchen tissue roll, or other).
Use your hands to press the roll down to flatten it.
Draw a flower shape with a pencil on a flat roll of paper.
The sketch needs to go all the way to the edges, with a good portion of the edge (the fold) intact.
Ask themed children to cut out the shape.
Check to see if the flower is intact. If your child cuts more than necessary and the flower doesn’t come out intact, you can always fix this with some tape.
It’s time to draw!
Have the kids use their favorite colors – we painted our flower red.
Color the petals with one color. Let the paint dry.
Have children color the stems and leaves green.
The entire flower should be colored to the edges.
After the paint dries, ask them to gently squeeze the floral paper roll to regain its 3D shape.
Don’t forget to color the back.
We love how these rolled flowers turned out!
Kids can make a bunch of them in a variety of colors and shapes.
