We have another great activity for the little ones – this time we are going to have fun with a winter agamograph template.
Making an agamograph is definitely a fun project, so let’s enjoy the holiday season by coloring and folding this winter themed agamograph.

Our agamograph consists of two different images. From one perspective you will see a penguin, and from the other perspective you will see a snowman.
You can choose between two easy variations of the template.
The first template is a “pre-made” agamograph page, where kids need to color in alternating images. The other template includes two complete images of a penguin and a snowman – kids need to color, cut out, and paste onto another sheet of paper to create the agamograph image.
We like to colour the background of each image in different colours so they really stand out when finished, but of course kids can also colour them in with crayons as they see fit.

Follow the step-by-step instructions
Print out the template you chose (get it at the end of this tutorial).
Color the template with your best crayons or markers.
Once you have finished coloring the agamograph, cut it out along the outer outline nicely.
We need to prepare the agamograph for folding, so use your scoring tool to make some sharp creases along the lines. We use a ruler to guide us along the lines and a wooden stick to create the effect.
Now let’s fold our image! We’ll start by rotating the entire template and using the accordion folding technique to fold the first “agamograph piece.”
Press down on each section of the agamograph to make the folds really crisp.
Continue folding until you reach the end of the agamograph.
All you need to do now is gently open the winter agamograph and you’re done!
