Wooden Spoon Princess Craft

Today we have a fun craft for all little princess lovers, we made a beautiful wooden spoon princess craft.

These wooden spoon puppets are not only fun to make, but can also be used for dramatic play or storytelling.

We really enjoyed these spoon puppets so look forward to seeing more interesting puppets.

Princess wooden spoon handmade

What you need

  • wooden spoon
  • yellow thread
  • glue – we used a mix of white school glue, Marta Stewards’s pen glue (which is great for many craft projects), and Elemr’s glue sticks
  • scrapbook paper (or colorful cardboard)
  • drag
  • sequins, glitter or other decorations
  • token

Draw a face on the spoon.

Wrap the yarn around your finger (or a book) a few times. Cut one end and tie the other end to create a small spoon-shaped wig.

Add a generous amount of school glue (or better yet, a glue gun) to the top of the spoon (or maybe the bottom of the spoon?) and glue the hair to it. Let dry.

Cut out a princess dress from scrapbook paper and decorate it with sequins. Glue sticks are easy to find, but glue sticks work just as well.

Cut two tiny crowns, decorate them and glue them onto your hair.

Glue the dresses to the spoons and your wooden spoon princess puppets are ready to perform the royal play.
