Raise your hand if you like reindeer crafts! We have a super fun project for you, let’s make a 3D reindeer craft with construction paper!
This is so much fun, you’ll want to make all 8 of Santa’s reindeer + Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.
*This article contains affiliate links*Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? I admit I’m a bit bad at remembering names, except for Rudolph because he’s always been my favorite.
We really enjoyed adding this reindeer craft idea to our collection of Christmas craft ideas that kids can do during the holiday season.
This is also a super easy craft to make, with simple parts to measure for this craft, making it a great idea for a classroom art project – can you see all those awesome little reindeer? And you could combine it with a creative writing challenge – like “If I Were a Reindeer”…
Not only are these fun for kids, they are a fun project for all ages and also make great decorations for the Christmas dinner table.

Follow the step-by-step instructions
First prepare the paper.
Our size guide is a letter/A4 sheet of paper – folded in half twice – which is a quarter of a sheet of paper (any other size of the same proportions will work). The younger the child, the larger the paper.
Cut both white and light brown paper to the same size.
Fold a sheet of light brown cardboard in half lengthwise.Cut in half.Take one half and cut a little lengthwise.Apply glue to one side and roll into a paper roll.
Let the glue dry for a while (you can use clothespins to hold the glue in place).
Take the remaining strip of light brown paper and fold it in half (widthwise).Cut U shape.
Fold the “legs” as shown below.Glue the hind legs to the paper.Color your nails with a black marker.Glue the front legs to the base (to create a nice curve for the reindeer’s body).Color the front nails too.Cut out a tail shape from scrap light brown cardstock. And stick it on the back.Cut the gauze out of dark brown cardstock.
Glue them to a roll of light brown cardboard.Add two eye patches and a red pompom.Apply a sufficient amount of glue to the 3D papercraft reindeer body……and pops to the top!As you can see, this 3D construction paper reindeer craft is super easy to make, and kids and kids at heart will love it!Hope you had fun crafting!
