Everyone needs a little magic in their life and what better way to bring it in than with glitter and unicorns.

This magical 3D Glitter Paper Unicorn craft is an improved version of our 3D paper reindeer, only this time the template to make this craft is also included so you can make it easier.

Of course, you can also use it to make horse crafts, just remove the horn and you will have a very interesting looking stallion.

How to make 3D construction paper unicorn

What you need

• our printable 3D Paper Construction Unicorn craft template (you can get it at the end of this tutorial)
• Craft paper (letter or A4 size) or thicker printer paper. Regular printer paper will also work.
• coloring materials
• drag
• glue
• glitter glue for some magic

It’s best to print a few copies because you’ll want to make more than one!

Follow the step-by-step instructions

Print out our template (located at the end of the tutorial). You can print on regular paper but it’s best to print on construction paper or thicker printer paper.

Color in the pattern (omitting the hooves).

Use all your favorite colors (this one is rainbow unicorn).

Add a touch of glitter if you want your unicorn to look extra fancy, but you’ll have to wait for the glitter to dry before continuing. Glitter definitely adds to the magic of this fairy tale creature.

Cut out all the parts of the unicorn.

Take the body and fold the nail over.

Apply glue to the bottom of the nail…

And glue the unicorn body to the cloud base.

Color the hooves (hint, hint pink).

Take the unicorn head paper strip and apply glue to the area marked with glue.

Stick them together into a roll.

Apply glue to the bottom of the unicorn’s head or body…

…and attach the head to the body.

Take the colorful headband and stick it on your head.

Next is the horns. Fold the bottom (along the straight line) into both horns. Glue the two horns (tops) together so that both sides are colored.

Apply glue to the bottom part and stick it on the unicorn’s head.

Fold the ears over and glue them to the head.

Fold the tail in a straight line, apply glue to the back of the tail and glue the two halves of the tail together.

Glue the tail to the unicorn’s body.

You’ve just created magic! Your 3D Paper Construction Unicorn is complete and waiting for its colorful friends to join it.
