3D Heart Card

This bright and colorful Valentine’s Day card is sure to brighten someone’s day. Print out our 3D heart card template and make your own!

You can even make this heart more personal by adding a personal note to each heart.

Valentine’s Day crafts are all about the heart shape, so when you want to make a cute Valentine’s Day card, why not try making it in the shape of a heart?

This one is super easy to make, you don’t even need a template (but we still provide a free template to make the process easier). You can make the heart one color or make it with all the colors of the rainbow (and more) like we did.

How to make 3D heart card

What you need:

our printable template (optional, you can get it at the end of this tutorial)
White (or other colored) cardboard for the card base
paper of different colors
pencil to draw heart
drag
glue

Step by step instructions

Print out the template (you can get the template at the end of this tutorial).

The lover part of the template will act as a card, so keep this in mind when choosing the paper type to print on.

Cut out the card and the heart shape.

Fold the card in half.

Place the heart shape on the paper and draw around the heart shape.

Cut out the heart shape. Repeat as many times as needed – we recommend cutting at least 6 times, but you can cut more or less.

Apply glue to one of the hearts and stick it onto the card.

Fold all remaining hearts in half.

Apply glue to the heart shape you just pasted onto the card and glue the 2 folded hearts on top.

Apply glue to those hearts and add another layer of half hearts (and another, and another…)

Continue until you are happy with your heart shape.

Write your note on the card.

And give it to someone special.
