We love creating different Halloween crafts for kids (check out our Pumpkin Surprise Halloween Cards or make Paper Ghost Finger Puppets).
Today we are excited to present to you our new project. It is a pumpkin, but not an ordinary pumpkin.
This pumpkin has little candies inside, it can spin and also jiggle when you push it down and pull it up.
So if you want to have this pumpkin on your Halloween table or want to give it as a gift to your “TRICK OR TREAT” friends, join us in making crafts.
How to Make 3D Paper Halloween Pumpkin Crafts
What you need:
- orange cardboard
- white cardboard
- green cardboard
- round hole punching machine
- split pin
- glue
- drag
- black pencil
- circular ruler
- circular object
- a small bag to put snacks inside (make sure the snacks you put in aren’t too heavy for the pumpkin to spin)
- Googly eyes (optional)
Let’s create!
Step by step instructions
On white cardboard, draw the circle again.
Cut out the circle.
Punch out two orange circles.
Cut four orange strips.
Fold the two ends over and apply a little glue.
Attach the first strip to the orange circle.
See how we glued it – we only glued a small part of the fold, so make sure you do the same with your paper strips.
Add a second strip to form an X shape.
Glue the third strip and join them at the top.
Stick the fourth strip and glue it to the top.
Take the second orange circle and glue it on top of the first circle, inside the pumpkin.
Push the split pin through the center of the orange circle, then through the center of the white circle you cut earlier.
Separate the two ends of the pin so that the pumpkin is firmly attached to the white circle.
Place the food bag inside the pumpkin.
Draw and cut out two eyes and a mouth. You can also use large googly eyes if you have them.
Stick them on the pumpkin.
Now draw and cut out the green handle for the pumpkin.
Fold the end in half, apply a little glue and place on top of the pumpkin.
And that’s it! Our pumpkin is ready to spin and wiggle.
To make it spin, grab the handle with your fingers and rotate it around. And to make it wobble, grab the handle and push down and pull up.
Happy Halloween everyone! See you soon with more Halloween crafts!
