Let’s make this cute ladybug today. This is a simple ladybug with moving wings; it is ready to pluck a green leaf.
Normally, we don’t notice ladybugs outside unless they land on a window or a t-shirt; they’re tiny like pearls and hide inside flowers and on the backs of leaves.
And this time, we can make them in any size we want (we can even make giant ones, and you can’t find those in nature, right?).
We can also make them look more natural and give them different personalities and enjoy their beauty.
So guys, whenever you want to have a ladybug around the house, take out some paper and make a shape of your favorite ladybug.

How to make 3D paper ladybug crafts
What you need:
- green cardboard
- red cardboard
- black cardboard
- split pin
- drag
- glue
- Googly eyes
- compass
- round hole punching machine
- pencil
Let’s start!
Step by step instructions
Take a compass and draw a circle on the green cardboard.
Cut out a circle. Our circle has a diameter of 4 cm.
Punch out two circles, one red circle and one black circle.
Divide the red circle into two equal parts. They are the wings.
Connect the wings with a split pin at the top, then push the split pin through the black circle and split its two ends in half…
…so the wings remain attached to the body.
Draw and cut out some small black circles.
Glue these circles to the wings.
On black cardboard, draw and cut out the head with two antennae.
Glue the head to the ladybug body.
Attach the bulging eyes to the head.
Cut six thin strips. Each about 3.5 cm long. These are the legs.
Glue them to the ladybug’s body, three on the left side and three on the right side of the body.
Fold the lower leg back as shown.
Glue the ladybug onto the green circle. (Note how we bent the legs a little so we could glue them to the paper).
Your 3D paper ladybug is now complete.
