Instructions step by step

The body of an octopus

Take a white marker and draw a circular object on the yellow paper.

Step 1

Start drawing dashes in the circle inside the circle.

Step 2

Fill the entire circle with dashes.

Step 3

Take your scissors and cut out the circle.

Step 4

Draw a small circle on the blue cardstock and eight tentacles around it, as shown in the picture.

Step 5

Cut the tentacles with scissors.

Step 6

Glue the tentacles on top of the yellow circle.

Make sure the small blue circle is in the middle of the yellow circle.

Step 7

Punch a blue circle.

Step 8

Push a split pin through both (the small blue circle and the one with the tentacles).

Step 9

Separate the two ends of the separating pin so that the circles are stuck together.

Step 10

Start drawing white circles on the tentacles.

Step 11

Make sure you don’t miss a single tentacle.

Step 12

Take the black lining and identify each white circle on the tentacles.

Step 13

Take two blue rectangles and fold them in half.

Step 14

Cut out two vase-like shapes.

Step 15

Unfold the vase shapes and fold their ends over.

Step 16

Apply some glue to the folded ends and attach them to the perforated blue circle.

Step 17

Repeat this step with the other vase-like shape, then glue them together at the top.

Step 18

Take a small piece of blue cardboard, fold it in half and use scissors to make a “comb”.

We will use this comb to make octopus hair. We know that octopuses don’t have hair, but this will make the octopus look cool and interesting.

Step 19

Make folds and then glue the hair onto the octopus head.

Step 20

The mouth

Draw a smiling mouth with a black pencil.

Step 21

Draw two eyes.

Step 22

Use scissors to cut out the eyes.

Step 23

Attach eyes to the octopus head. We placed them far apart but you can place them closer if you want.

Step 24

All has been done!

Now start turning its head. OH!
