How to Make a Windsock Toilet Paper Roll Craft for 4th of July
What you need:
- toilet paper roll
- green paint
- paint brush
- drag
- white and red tissue paper
- white paper
- star punched paper or white paint
- wool
- hole punching machine
Step by step instructions
Start by painting the toilet paper blue. Let the paint dry completely before you work on it further.
While waiting for the paint to dry, you can cut tissue paper or punch holes to create a star shape from the paper.
Once the paint is dry, punch two holes in one side of the roll (one hole parallel to the other). A paper hole punch is the best tool for this job.
Thread the yarn through both holes.
Tie it tight.
Punch out star-shaped holes from white paper. If you don’t have a star punch, you can also color the stars (this tutorial on how to draw stars may be helpful).
Apply a small amount of glue to the star and press it onto the paper roll.
Repeat until your toilet paper roll is full of stars.
Cut long strips of white and red tissue paper.
Apply glue to one end of the tissue paper strip and press it inside the toilet paper roll.
Change color from white to red until the circle is complete.
Done! Your 4th of July handmade Windsock toilet paper roll is ready to hang and blow in the wind.
