Build a Vampire Puppet Template

Grab this super fun printable vampire puppet template and let your kids create the most beautiful vampire craft ever. Children love making paper puppets, they are both fun and enjoyable to play with. This is a great Halloween activity for preschoolers and even kindergarteners because it’s pretty easy to make.

Each vampire puppet will look unique because children will color them differently and assemble them a little differently. This is still an easy, uncomplicated (and no-prep!) ​​project that all kids can complete. Works perfectly if you’re hosting a Halloween party in the classroom.

Not long ago we shared how to build a witch puppet model and now it’s time to show you how to make a paper vampire puppet. There are so many things to love about Halloween puppets, they are inexpensive to make, they are a great Halloween craft in the classroom or an activity you can easily do at home with your children and most importantly, children love making them and playing with them.

How to assemble a sample to build a vampire puppet

What you need:

  • Our printable template (comes with 5 Halloween monsters)
  • drag
  • glue
  • color supplies

Step-by-step instructions

Print sheets of paper. You can print the puppet base (head, ears and nose) on colored paper; we think purple or light blue is perfect for vampire crafts.

Have kids color the vampire’s hair, mouth, eyes, and bow tie (we love a quirky looking vampire).

Cut out all parts of the pattern.

Start by folding the base of the puppet. Fold along all the dashed lines.

Apply glue to the flaps (they are marked with the word glue).

Close the “tag” and gently press down to secure the glue.

It’s time to start building this fun vampire puppet. It’s easiest if you start with your hair. Glue it on top of the puppet (the top is where the ends are closed).

Next is the nose. There is a dashed line on the nose rectangle. Fold along those lines.

Apply glue to the flaps and glue the nose to the puppet’s base.

Add a pair of eyes as well as a pair of ears.

Last but not least, add a mouth with fangs as well as a bow (bow is optional).
