Calla Lily Paper Craft – Flower Craft Ideas

Need another flower craft idea for kids? We made a super quick and easy paper calla lily craft that kids in kindergarten and up can do.

You could certainly modify this craft to be more preschool-friendly, by using a larger circle cutter and perhaps drawing the flower stem, if cutting thin strips of paper is too difficult a task for your child.

Flower crafts are very popular during the spring months, this is a great activity to do when it is pouring rain, especially in spring.

We love quick, simple, and beautiful crafts that can be used as gifts for friends and family. For example, this calla lily craft would make the perfect card for grandparents or for moms (hint, hint, Mother’s Day).

The lily is certainly an interesting flower… It’s not actually a lily.

And it’s beautiful and looks great… But it’s poisonous…

We don’t know about you but we definitely prefer handling these paper lilies over real flowers :).

Or follow the step-by-step instructions below

First it’s time to go crazy punching! If the punches aren’t too hard to handle then let the kids punch, they’ll definitely enjoy doing it.

Each lily needs a white circle. We will make 3 circles for each card.

Cut thin strips of green paper.

This part will be used to make the trunk.

Cut thin strips of yellow paper.

This part will be used to make the spathe (the yellow part that sticks out from the flower).

Glue the yellow strips in between the white circles.

Fold half of the circle into the middle and glue the bottom together as shown below.

Do the same on the other side. You should see a triangle, like a lily.

Rinse and repeat with all flowers.

Glue the green paper strip onto the blue background.

Glue the lily to the tree trunk.

Repeat with the remaining 2 stems and flowers.

Cut grass out of green cardstock and glue onto card.

Your paper lily craft is done!
