Cardboard Valentine’s Day Heart Craft

Raw materials

  • cardboard (we were lucky enough to get a red box, if you have a regular box you will need red too)
  • Fun Chalk Markers (I was given these to try and they are awesome)
  • scissors or craft knife
  • skewer
  • heart shaped mold (I used cookie cutters)

If you have regular cardboard, paint it red and let it dry completely.

Make Cardboard Heart

Draw a heart shape on cardboard. You can color it first or cut it out with a craft knife or scissors (depending on the person doing the project).

Whichever way you go, start drawing some cool doodles on the heart with chalk pens because the colors are really bold and pop – you can use any color but I think the red and white combination looks great. You can write a love message, patterns, polka dots, etc.

Pierce the heart with a skewer and you’ll have a beautiful bouquet of hearts, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
