If you’re looking for a fun Halloween craft or are just a cat lover, these slightly creepy cat corner bookmarks are a great one to make! DIY corner bookmarks are a great origami project for kids to start with as they are quick and simple to make and your little ones can get super creative when decorating them (just check out some of the others we’ve made).

Corner Cat Notebook
What you need
- black origami paper
- black paper (preferably construction paper)
- wobble eye patch
- white paper
- pink paper
- scissors (decorative scissors are very handy)
- glue
Fold the black origami paper diagonally – both sides-
Fold diagonally – forming a triangle with the black side on the outside.
Grasp the top of the triangle (one layer only) and fold towards the bottom of the triangle (towards the center). Fold evenly.
Hold the right corner and fold towards the center of the bottom of the triangle as shown.
Do the same with the left corner. Fold carefully.
Open both ends.
Hold the right corner firmly and fold it up to the top of the triangle as shown. Crease.
Repeat with the other side – you should get a square.
Put the left “flap” into the pocket.
Repeat with the remaining one.
Now it’s time to decorate your origami cat corner bookmark. Cut two small black triangles from black paper and a pair of smaller triangles from pink paper. Glue the pink triangles to the black triangles – for ears. Glue the ears to the back of the bookmark. Glue two sticky eyes. Cut two “fangs” from white paper. Cut the teeth from white paper – we used zig zag scissors. Glue them to the inside of the bookmark. Finally, cut a small nose shape from pink paper and glue it on. Meow!
