This is a great last-minute Halloween craft idea because you don’t need a lot of ingredients to make one, and even if you don’t have them all, you can easily substitute them with things you have on hand. .

How to make Halloween cards for cats

What you need:

  • orange cardstock (or other Halloween-colored paper).
  • black paper (newspaper also works great)
  • Yellow paper for the eyes (green is also nice)
  • drag
  • glue
  • button
  • black marker

Step-by-step instructions

Let’s make a card. If you are making this card for young children, we recommend folding a letter or A4 sized sheet of paper in half, creating a large card. This will make this project easier for young children.

For older children, cut the paper in half and then fold it – making two smaller cards from one sheet of paper.

Additionally, you can also buy blank cards from the craft store (this is especially helpful for classroom projects).

Run your finger along the crease to make it really crisp.

Take a piece of black paper and place it behind the card. Cut a black rectangle the same size as the card.

Although this step is optional, we find it helpful when working with young children because it makes it easier for them to get the cat’s size just right.

Cut the black paper in half.

Place the now thinner rectangle on top of the card. Fold the top – this fold will mark the cat’s height.

Cut along the fold.

It’s time to shape the car. Cut a triangle from one side of the black rectangle.

Easy as pie! The cat’s body is done. Now cut two pointed ovals for the eyes.

Draw the irises with a black marker.

Stick them on the cat’s body. Stick the camera body onto the card.

Add a nose. The pink button works really great. You can also add a tail.

Now, all that’s left to do with this Cat Halloween Card Idea is write a note inside it and give it to someone.
