This Christmas tree paper art project is quite fun and gives us a beautiful piece of art that we can display year after year to enjoy.
So easy even toddlers can do it, this is one craft you should add to your Christmas craft list this year.

I love all the handprinted Santas, pawprinted reindeer, and finger painted snow scenes like every other mom but sometimes I really like something more permanent.
You only need 4 craft supplies to make this bleeding paper tree, which will be treasured hanging on your wall long after their little hands have grown.
You will need:
Cut or tear a bunch of green and blue tissue paper into small pieces. They don’t have to be all the same size, just small enough – 2 inches or less.
You don’t need much brown or yellow, just cut out a yellow star.
To help younger children, you can lightly trace the shape of the tree onto the fabric with a pencil to give them a general guide to follow.
Spray plenty of water on the canvas.
Ask your child to start placing tissue paper in the spaces between the branches, 2 or 3 layers thick, the thicker the tissue paper layer the darker the final color will be.
Once the greenery is complete, have them add the star and the trunk.
Finally, fill all the remaining white space with blue.
You may need to lightly spray the paper towel when working with water or use a paintbrush to add water, but if you over wet the paper will run.
Let stand for 20 minutes.
Carefully peel off the tissue paper…
…until all are removed.
Allow the water to dry completely on the canvas.
Then your child can add a little paint here and there and then attach a button on top to complete the tree.
You can also use stickers or other small, flat items to decorate.
Don’t forget to have your child write their name and date on the back if possible, otherwise you can do it yourself.
You’re done.
