Christmas itself is a truly magical holiday! It’s a time of year when many wonderful childhood memories are made and doing Christmas crafts with your kids and making homemade Christmas cards can add a lot to this magical experience.
This is a quick and easy project that is perfect for classroom use.
What you need:
Let’s start by making a card. Fold a piece of paper (letter or A4 size) in half.
Cut across the fold.
Take one half and fold it in half again. This way you will have two cards from one sheet of paper.
Next, cut a strip of white paper (about a third of the card, no measuring rules here).
Glue the paper strip to the card.
Cut a strip of black paper, longer than the width of the card.
Place the black paper on top of the key paper (yellow, gold or whatever color you have). Cut a rectangle from the key paper that is wider than the black paper strip.
Now cut a piece of black paper, it should be shorter than the belt buckle rectangle. Trim if necessary.
Apply glue to the black rectangle and stick it in the middle of the belt buckle.
Glue the black strip of paper to the card, somewhere on the bottom half. Cut off the excess.
Apply glue to the back of the belt buckle and stick it to the black belt.
Cut out two small black circles (or draw them) and glue them onto the card.
Open the card and write a message.
Happy Holidays!
Making a ton of this would be so easy.
