It’s time to start making Easter crafts and you can’t go wrong with this easy bunny craft. This is a great classroom project as well as a great DIY gift for parents. Kids can use cotton balls to fill bunny cards or tissue paper (rolled into small balls) – either way it’s a great fine motor exercise.

How to Make a Bunny Craft – Easter Card

What you need:

  • Our printable template (optional)
  • heavier paper
  • coloring materials
  • headshot
  • drag
  • glue
  • cotton or tissue paper

Step by step instructions

Print out the template. Thicker card stock will work best for making cards.

Ear color. Any Easter pastel color will work (although we think pink and light blue look best).

Cut out the outline of the bunny card and the inner ear part.

Fold in half along the dotted line.

Apply glue to the area designated for photography (or on the photo)…

…and paste a picture onto the bunny card.

Apply white glue (this works best) to the plaques and around the photos (don’t cover the entire surface at once).

Glue the pom poms, adding more glue as needed. If working with regular sized pom poms, you will need to stretch them out to get smaller pom poms (you can roll them between your hands to shape them).

Stick cotton balls around the image and on the ears until the cotton pattern is completely smooth.

Apply glue to the inside of the ear and stick it to the ear.

Allow the glue to dry before you write your special message.

Isn’t this the cutest homemade Easter card ever?

Guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
