Christmas might be our favorite season and we love making all kinds of Christmas Crafts for kids (check out our printable Gingerbread House Cards or try making some Christmas Bookmarks printable students).

Alternatively, why not let the kids (or you) color our Christmas coloring pages?

If you’re looking for a craft to make with your kids this holiday season, make this craft from Gingerbread Man.

You’ll need a few craft supplies and you’ll be making this gingerbread man in no time.

How to make handmade gingerbread with sticks

What you need:

  • handmade sticks (five thinner and two wider)
  • brown paper
  • brown acrylic paint
  • paint brush
  • black marker
  • white chalk marker
  • eye shadow
  • the two halves glitter black
  • glue
  • pom-pom fruit (pink, green, blue and yellow)
  • red silk ribbon
  • pencil
  • drag

Step-by-step instructions

Grab your scissors.

Cut a craft stick and start cutting it.

Paint each craft bar brown.

Continue painting the craft sticks.

Body

Begin by gluing five craft sticks together to form a body.

Apply glue to the craft sticks you cut in half on the back of the body for strength.

Place half on the upper part and the other half on the lower part of the body.

Arms and legs

Our Gingerbread Man craft stick also needs arms and legs.

Apply glue to both halves of the thicker craft stick.

The arms will go towards the body.

Repeat this step with the two wider craft sticks you cut in half.

These will be the legs. Attach them to the bottom.

Head

Draw a circle for the head on brown paper and cut it out.

Use a white chalk pen to draw a wavy line around the head as if it were frozen.

Draw eyes and mouth on the head with a black pen and glue a pink pom-pom for the nose.

Take a Q-tip and lightly apply Gingerbread Man blush.

Likewise, draw a wavy line at the end of the thick craft stick.

Glue the head to the body.

Stick colorful pom-poms on the Gingerbread Man’s chest.

Take a red ribbon and start making a bow.

Tie the red ribbon and cut off the excess.

Glue the red bow to the Gingerbread Man.

This Stick Gingerbread Man Craft will make the holidays even more fun.

Don’t you like it?

We think it looks incredible!

You can make as many as you want with colored pom-poms and bows.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas.

And keep crafting.
