One of my favorite animals associated with fall is the hedgehog (and foxes too), so you can find lots of hedgehog craft ideas on the site and I’m constantly thinking of more ways to make one or dozens.

It’s definitely fun to make and since it has so many cutouts, it’s perfect for practicing fine motor skills in younger kids. Since it’s so cute – you won’t be able to make just one – older kids will love making them too (and so will you).

These would also look great hanging on a bulletin board in the classroom and you can make them in any size you want (I hope one of you makes an extra large one and sends a picture).

If you make larger ones, at least larger than we did, you could also add an apple or other fruit for the hedgehog to carry. It doesn’t have to be paper, it could be a pom pom (I think that would look really cute).

Are you ready to try this hedgehog craft? Follow the instructions and make a hedgehog craft out of paper.
