If you’re looking for a fun Easter craft to make with your kids that can also be used as a gift for someone (perfect if you’re making a gift for a parent in your classroom), these bookmarks are definitely the way to go.
They are really easy to make and even preschoolers can follow your instructions (they may need a little extra help with some steps).
How to make an Origami Carrot Corner Bookmark
What you need:
- a sheet of orange origami paper (or regular square paper)
- green paper
- drag
- orange marker
- glue
Follow the step-by-step instructions
Start by folding the origami paper in half diagonally to form a triangle, with the white side facing in.
Bring the top corner (of just one sheet of paper) down to the middle. A white square will form.
Fold carefully.
Bring the right corner of the triangle to the center, crease and unfold.
Repeat with the remaining corner.
Now take those two corners again, this time bringing them up to the top (creasing the fold).
You will see a diamond.
Now tuck the “corner” inside the pocket.
Tuck both corners into the pocket and they will fit neatly.
Draw lines with an orange marker to create a carrot shape.
Cut carrot leaves out of green paper.
Paste them inside the bookmark.
Done! You have learned how to make a Carrot Corner Bookmark.
