You can easily create the most beautiful card for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day!
Follow our step-by-step guide to learn how to make a Valentine card from rolled paper roses.
We love simple ideas that look like they took hours to make! You won’t believe how easy these quilled rose Valentine cards are to make.
What you need:
Choose your favorite colors for the flowers in the basket. Craft paper or regular printer paper will work well. Also, prepare green paper for the leaves.
You will need about 10 flowers, all of which can be the same color or as many colors as you like. First, make the flowers. You can make your own using the template we have included (you can get the template at the end of this tutorial).
Cut the circle into a spiral. Once finished, begin rolling the spiral – starting from the outside.
Roll almost all the way to the center. When you get close to the center, apply a little glue to the center and push the center under the rolled rose.
Keep it there until the glue dries for a while.
Repeat with other flowers. Also cut out leaf shapes from green paper.
Cut out a basket shape from gray or brown construction paper and cut small strips from brown construction paper. Glue the brown strips lengthwise onto the basket template.
Once you have completed the basket pattern, glue the flowers to the top of the basket.
Don’t forget to add some leaves.
