When it comes to weather, there really is nothing quite as magical as a rainbow.
Rainbows are a great topic to talk about and make crafts about because kids are often fascinated by them and there is really a lot that can be discussed. From the colors of the rainbow to the phenomenon itself.
What you need:
Start by drawing a rough outline of the rainbow on the fabric. Half the rainbow is easiest, older and more skilled children can draw the entire rainbow. No need to get too detailed here, just creating a rough shape guide will make it easier to create the tissue paper rainbow. There is no need to separate the colors at this point.
Tear off small pieces of tissue paper and roll them between your fingers or hands to form small tissue paper balls. Do this one color at a time.
Continue with all the other colors of the rainbow. If your child is learning about the colors of the rainbow, let them choose and use the colors as they would in a real rainbow. However, if this is just a fun project, don’t stress about the colors, whatever they may be.
Gently stretch a few cotton balls to form puffy clouds.
Glue the cotton balls to the end of the rainbow.
